This Privacy Policy explains how BlockHub52 ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our website at blockhub52.co.uk, our software application at blockhub52.ai, or sign up to receive our newsletter.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Who We Are

BlockHub52 is a software service for UK residential block directors. For data protection purposes, BlockHub52 is the data controller for all personal information collected via our website, application, and newsletter.

2. What Information We Collect

When you sign up for a free trial, we collect your name and email address via our payment provider (Stripe) to create your account and activate your trial.

When you use the BlockHub52 app, we collect and store information you enter to manage your building, which may include: director names and contact details, leaseholder names and flat addresses, service charge records and payment history, compliance deadlines and documentation, and building-related correspondence. This data belongs to you and is processed solely to provide the service.

When you sign up to our newsletter, we collect your name and email address. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.

When you use the contact form or live chat, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message.

We do not use tracking cookies or behavioural advertising tools.

3. Why We Collect It and Our Legal Basis

  • Providing the BlockHub52 app — to deliver the service you have signed up for. Legal basis: contract performance.
  • Newsletter — to send you updates, tips, and news relevant to UK block management. Legal basis: consent. You may withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing.
  • Contact form and live chat enquiries — to respond to your question or support request. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
  • Product updates and communications — to inform you of changes to the service relevant to your use. Legal basis: legitimate interests. You can opt out at any time.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to deliver and improve the BlockHub52 service, communicate with you about your account, send the newsletter where you have subscribed, and respond to support enquiries. We will never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Who We Share Your Data With

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate BlockHub52:

  • Stripe — payment processing provider, used to handle trial sign-ups and subscription payments. BlockHub52 does not store your card details. Stripe Privacy Policy.
  • Resend — email delivery provider, used to send account emails and the newsletter.
  • Supabase — database and application infrastructure provider. All app and account data is stored on Supabase's infrastructure.
  • Vercel — hosting provider for the BlockHub52 application at blockhub52.ai.
  • Crisp (crisp.chat) — live chat software, used to handle support conversations on blockhub52.co.uk and app.blockhub52.ai. Visitor messages and contact details are processed by Crisp. Data stored in the EU. Crisp Privacy Policy.
  • Sender.net — email marketing platform, used to send newsletters and product updates to subscribers who have opted in. Sender.net Privacy Policy.

All third-party processors are required to handle your data in accordance with UK GDPR under appropriate data processing agreements.

6. How Long We Keep Your Data

  • App data — retained for the duration of your active account and for a reasonable period thereafter to allow for data export requests. You may request deletion at any time.
  • Newsletter — retained until you unsubscribe. We will delete your data promptly on unsubscription.
  • Contact form messages — retained for up to 12 months for reference purposes.

7. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct any inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your personal data
  • Object to or restrict our processing of your data
  • Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent (e.g. newsletter)

8. Cookies

Our website uses only essential cookies required for the site to function. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. The BlockHub52 application uses session cookies necessary for you to remain logged in. No consent is required for essential or strictly necessary cookies under UK law.

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest.

10. Complaints
